Components

The components contained in IN-Mácula® have the following characteristics:

  1. Omega 3 fatty acids DHA and EPA: long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids. Essential acids for the proper functioning of the organism. DHA contributes to the maintenance of vision under normal conditions. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of DHA.
  2. Lutein and Zeaxanthin: pigments belonging to the group of carotenoids.
  3. Zinc and Copper: zinc contributes to the normal metabolism of Vitamin A and maintain vision under normal conditions.
  4. Vitamin E: fat-soluble vitamin that contributes to the protection of cells against oxidative damage.
  5. Vitamin C:
  6. Vitamins of group B (B6, B9 and B12): vitamins B6 and B12 contribute to the normal functioning of the nervous system and vitamin B9 contributes to the normal metabolism of homocysteine.

Tips to prevent and slow the progression of AMD

  • Eat a healthy diet rich in antioxidants (such as vitamin C) and Omega 3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA).

  • Intake of food supplements rich in Omega 3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA), antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and carotenes.

  • Give up smoking. Tobacco significantly increases the risk of developing AMD.

  • Avoid obesity.

  • Controlled blood pressure. High blood pressure, as well as cardiovascular diseases are risk factors.

  • Use of sunglasses. Solar radiation increases the risk of the appearance of AMD.
